This device going at a price of 25000 ksh. is definitely top of the List .
Samsung Note 9
We have seen a lot of improvement Samsung just launched its latest flagship device, the Galaxy Note 9, and the Note finds its way back to our list.
The Galaxy Note 9 improves upon the Note 8 with a Bluetooth S Pen, more internal capacity and RAM, a massive 4,000 mAh battery, improved dual rear cameras with some software intelligence, enhanced audio capability, and new placement of the rear fingerprint scanner.
The new Bluetooth S Pen is an excellent innovation that is sure to please all Note fans with the additional remote control functionality.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 continues to have all of the excellent Galaxy Foundation aspects such as a high level of water resistance, fast wireless charging, a stunning Super AMOLED screen, expandable microSD storage, a 3.5mm headset jack, and much more.
OPPO has been known to spend heavily but a bit reluctant on this device as seen. Despite been priced heavily at 35,990 Ksh, the device offers quite impressive performance. It comes with the latest super-fast charging technology, VOOC Flash Charge, with a 5-minute charging time for a 2-hour talk time, it also brings gradient colors as well as a unique Water-drop Screen design that offers elegance, operability and new vision.
Based on Android 8.1, the phone comes in two variants a 4GB RAM and a 6 GB RAM both having a 64GB Storage which can further be expanded with an internal microSD card of up to 256GB. For the first time, OPPO F series is equipped with dual rear cameras (16MP + 2MP) also pioneering the 25MP A.I front camera.
OPPO brings the ColorOS 5.2 Operating System to create a smarter interactive experience for users. The F9 is equipped with the Google Lens that identifies objects and shows relevant search results and information.
The Galaxy A9
This device is amazing but am not sure I need 4 cameras on a phone. The cameras include a 24-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.
The phone will come with plenty of storage, at 128GB (6GB RAM) and up to 512GB of expandable memory. It boasts a 3,800mAh battery, and has a 6.3” Full HD+, Super AMOLED display.
LG G7 THINQ
If you’ve read about the LG G7 ThinQ you have probably seen that most people state it is not exciting and there is nothing that unique and compelling to make people choose the LG G7. To be honest, you could say that about most phones as we have reached peak smartphone and there is very little left that manufacturers can do to raise the bar.
That said, after spending a couple of months with the LG G7, it is clearly a very underrated smartphone. The size is nearly perfect, it offers a wide-angle camera, and it is fairly affordable at less than $750 for a flagship.
Like the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, the LG G7 ThinQ has everything but the kitchen sink included. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual camera setup (one is widescreen that is unique among the dual camera devices), wireless charging, IP68 rating, microSD expansion card for inexpensive unlimited storage expansion, a screen that extends nearly the full front with a notch, and incredible audio support.
Xiaomi Redmi 6
We haven’t interacted much with the device however the Redmi 6 comes with 3GB coupled with an internal storage of 32GB, this is on top of a Helio P22 octa-core processor. A dual camera, with a 12MP and a 5MP lens, although the front-facing camera remains the same at 5MP and the added security and convenience of a fingerprint scanner. We will update this once we interact with the device but definitely this is a device to watch.
